Baya Mahieddine: An Artistic Inspiration Behind Our Packaging
Baya Mahieddine (1931–1998) was an Algerian artist celebrated for her vibrant, intuitive paintings filled with women, birds, flowers, and flowing forms. Self-taught and guided by imagination rather than formal rules, Baya created a visual language that felt joyful, free, and deeply connected to nature. Her work stands out for its bold colours, flat compositions, and sense of harmony—art that celebrates life without constraint.
Her paintings inspired us not only visually, but philosophically. Baya’s world is one of balance and optimism, where every element coexists naturally. This spirit strongly resonated with our approach to packaging design.
From Painting to Packaging
Our packaging design draws directly from the essence of Baya Mahieddine’s work. We embraced organic shapes, expressive yet balanced colour choices, and a sense of movement that echoes her compositions. Rather than rigid lines or excessive decoration, the design allows space to breathe—reflecting the calm harmony found in her paintings.
Inspired by Baya’s celebration of nature and simplicity, our packaging is also consciously minimal. We avoided unnecessary materials and focused on thoughtful design, aligning beauty with responsibility. The result is packaging that feels artistic, natural, and intentional—transforming a simple everyday ritual into a moment of visual joy.
In honouring Baya’s legacy, our packaging is not a reproduction of her art, but a respectful interpretation of the values she embodied: freedom of expression, harmony with nature, and the power of joyful creation.
